Important Information for our Customers

We decided a while back that we would rather explain the price one time, than to apologize for poor quality forever.  Not all companies are created equal, and we want to stand out from the crowd.

We are an insured cabin care and maintenance company that prides itself on the quality and professionalism of its service.  We believe in educating ourselves continuously in regards to what is on the market and providing the best for every customer.  That is as important as what we do on the job.

We will first take a good look at the stain on your home before we will decide how best to clean and/or remove the stain from the logs or siding.  In fact we recommend cob blasting whenever possible.  This procedure leaves the surface clean, dry and ready for stain.  It is safe and biodegradable.  It is the high-tech way to remove dirt, old finishes and mildew.

When we pressure wash we will be careful to use the right amount of pressure to clean off the mold, mildew and dirt without harming the existing stain.  It is important that the mold and mildew are removed before applying stain. If this is not done, the black you see on your home will still be there after the stain dries. After that the only way to remove it is to cob blast to remove all the stain.

We then apply stain to a clean, dry surface. If necessary we will mask off windows and doors with tape and plastic. Then we hand brush the stain onto the wood and back brush for a even appearance and second coat.

The products we use are designed for log homes and we are well versed on the use and application of these products.  Our stains include a mildewcide that inhibits the growth of mildew.  We also offer a mildewcide booster and an insecticide booster.  In humid climates the mildewcide booster is recommended to add to the second coat of stain.  The insecticide booster is added to the third coat.

Our application process is based on the needs of wood and log structures.  If you have ever seen a bad stain job, you never forget it.  It can begin with a bad pressure washing job, then followed with poor stain application.  This can range from applying by spray only with no back brushing (we brush only), applying with too much moisture left in the wood, neglecting to fill holes, cracks, etc. and the list goes on.  What we are trying to say is that anyone can say they can stain your home, but that doesn't mean they can do it correctly.  Every step of the process is important for the home to look good and be protected.

We also carry chinking and caulking and will be glad to discuss options you have regarding these products and the best application for your home.

In regards to general maintenance our company provides a variety of service that will help the homeowner spend more time enjoying their home rather than worrying about it.  More importantly, the homeowner doesn't have to worry about us.  We are here after the job is done to answer any questions or concerns.

We have never found a company that could provide the finest quality and the best service and the lowest price.  And we have found that cheapest is not always best.  We are not the cheapest but we strive to be the best.

Call us today for an appointment.  We promise to do our best to meet your needs every step of the way.
